Hey, I'm a new fan of DR (Just finished DR V3) and was yearning for more death games, so I looked around and found this place.
I literally just missed sign ups for a game and I hate myself now, but I wouldn't feel comfortable playing it regardless, as I feel like I can't RP established characters well without being considered Out Of Character.
So, I missed the celebration of the games, but hopefully I'll be able to join the 79th. But there's some things I'm confused about.
1. Is there a meta to how the trials are played? I looked over some, and there's always Alibi's first, discussion of how they got the items for the murder in that night with the Alibi's, and then figuring out how they were murdered.
2. For when games go back to being OC based (Own unique students with their own Ultimate talents.), how would I get the 'skills' people are talking about? Is it discussed beforehand, or do I just decide? I'm assuming its the former.
3. Should I prepare the OC I have in mind now, or should I wait and wing it? (I prefer the former, but it might be better for the latter in the case of these games, considering there's different lore for each game)
4. Why do some games only execute a few people when the blackened wins rather than everyone? I know the blackened will be immune to death, but it just doesn't sit right.
5. Why do you people prefer Super Highschool Level ____ over Ultimate ____? Ultimate rolls off the tongue better and implies the same thing as SHSL.
6. I found a character with the SHSL Gentleman Thief talent. Whoever made that, please check a BMI scale. This isn't an insult, but 90 pounds is much to small for a 5'10 foot person, you would literally be skeletor. The scale says he's got 13 BMI, 15 is a case of anorexia, around 22 is normal. I just found this funny, and I hope the guy who made it does too.
7. Is there anything else I should know?
